About Suncoast Vacuum and Appliance

OUR STORY

Suncoast Vacuum opened its doors in 1977 as "Suncoast Vacuum & Appliance" in Port Charlotte, Florida. Owners Charles "Chuck" & Susan "Sue" Drexler hired high school student Paul Froeschle to help repair vacuums and appliances after school and on week-ends.

In 1980, Chuck moved to a larger store at 3500A Tamiami Trail (US 41) in Port Charlotte, Florida. He dropped appliances and decided to work strictly with vacuum cleaners shortly thereafter. Paul continued to work for him, and in 1988, married Sue's sister Joy.

Chuck moved to California in 1988, and Paul bought Suncoast from him at that time. Business continued to grow, and in 1996, Paul took over the entire building at 3500 Tamiami Trail.

Paul has continued to foster customer relations; his salespeople send personalized thank-you letters to new customers, and they are always there to answer their questions and service their vacuum cleaners. Suncoast has come full circle, as this year we will begin again to offer select appliances from Miele.

Back in the day, all vacuum cleaners were made to last. They felt solid in your hand. They were powerful, durable, and efficient. Vaccums were expensive, but worth it, even back then. Today, high-end vacuums actually cost less and perform better. They are lighter, more powerful and more efficient; and you can still feel the quality when you hold it in your hand.

Our mission at Suncoast Vacuum and Apploance is to show people the incredible value that a quality vacuum represents. We want everyone to know what a real vacuum feels like.

Our service technicians and repair specialist have experience with all types of vacuums and can diagnose and repair virtually any machine.
